Ram Jethmalani Moves SC Against KA Governor

Update: 2018-05-17 08:52 GMT
Renowned lawyer Ram Jethmalani moved Supreme Court in his personal capacity against the Karnataka Governor's decision to invite BJP to form the Government despite not having the required majority. He complained what's been done by Governor was a gross abuse of constitutional power and it has brought disrepute to the Constitution.

The Veteran Lawyer clarified he hasn't moved Supreme Court either in favour or against any political party but as a citizen hurt by the unconstitutional decision.

Chief Justice Dipak Misra accepted the submission of Ram Jethmalani and forwarded it to 3-member Special Bench which heard the petition moved by Congress regarding the same issue. Ram Jethmalani was directed to make his submission before the three-member bench on May 18th.

Despite Congress and JD (S) having the numbers to form the Government, Governor invited BS Yeddyurappa for his swearing-in ceremony and allotted 15 days time to prove his majority.
