Will Finish Off Regional Parties, Says This BJP Biggie

Update: 2019-06-04 06:49 GMT
The BJP has bared its fangs. It says it will contain the spread of regionalism and the parties promoting regionalism in South India. This statement comes from the horse's mouth. BJP biggie Ram Madhav, who was in Nizamabad to attend the victory celebrations of party's MP Dharmapuri Arvind. He said the BJP wave has begun in Telangana and that the party would come to power in future in the state.

This statement should be a warning to the regional parties in both the Telugu states - Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.  Both the states are being ruled by the YSRCP and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Both these parties have friendly relations with the BJP at the Centre and the TRS had played an active role in mobilising non-Congress regional parties into the NDA fold in the name of Federal Front.

The statement is significant as it is coming from Nizamabad, where the BJP candidate trounced Chief Minister KCR's daughter and sitting MP Kavitha Kalwakuntla. Significantly, Ram Madhav referred to Kavitha and said she was defeated because she has done nothing for the people of the constituency during the last five years.
