Ram Nath Kovind elected as 14th President

NDA Candidate Ram Nath Kovind got elected as 14th President of India by bagging 65.65 percent (7,02,644) of the total votes polled. Whereas, Opposition's Candidate Meira Kumar secured 34.35 percent (3,67,314) of votes. Mr.Kovind won against his Opponent by a huge margin of 3,35,330 votes. Swearing-in Ceremony of the 71-Year-Old is on July 25th.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, Chief Ministers of AP, Telangana, West Bengal and Other States congratulated Ram Nath Kovind. Interestingly, Meira Kumar didn't receive even a single vote from AP.

Bihar: Ram Nath Kovind - 22,940; Meira Kumar - 18,867

Assam: Ram Nath Kovind - 10,556; Meira Kumar - 4,060

J&K: Ram Nath Kovind - 4,032; Meira Kumar - 20,160

Himachal Pradesh: Ram Nath Kovind - 1,530; Meira Kumar - 1,087

Goa: Ram Nath Kovind - 500; Meira Kumar - 220

Arunachal Pradesh: Ram Nath Kovind - 448; Meira Kumar - 24
