It is becoming increasingly clear that senior politician and former minister Ravela Kishore is planning to leave the BJP. Only thing that wasn't clear was which party he would join after leaving the BJP. Now as the dust is settling, it is clear that he wants to go back to the Telugu Desam Party.
That Ravela, who was known for his religious preachings, was a misfit in the BJP was only too well-known. There were issues of compatibility. His attempts to understand the BJP organisational ethics too ended up as dud. So, for the last several months, he was inactive and stopped attending the BJP programmes. He has begun befriending the TDP as the YSRCP did not show any interest in him.
For the past few weeks, Ravela has been meeting Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders. He has also helped in arranging a meeting between TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and Madiga leader Manda Krishna Madiga. The meeting was organised at a swank hotel in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, has has also become active in extending a helping hand to the Amaravati farmers, who are currently on a padayatra to Tirupati to highlight their demand to keep Amaravati as the sole capital of AP.
He is in fact been meeting farmers' leaders, TDP leaders like Prattipati Pulla Rao, Dhulipalla Narendra and Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao, who are coordinating the yatra.. All these point out that sooner than later, he would join back the TDP. Sources say Ravela's joining of the TDP is not a question of if, but of when.
