Raviteja cuts down his Balupu

After facing heat over the usage of controversial dialogue targeting Brahmin community, makers of 'Balupu' have taken damage control steps prior to the release.

Apparently, the dialogue 'Mogudula Unnavante Manobhavalu Debbatintunnayi…Pindalu Pettesthunnaru' is a satire on the Brahmin community that conducted final rituals of veteran actor Mohan Babu at the time of 'Denikaina Ready' release.

AP Brahmana Seva Sanga Samakya has come down heavily on the makers of 'Balupu' for degrading their community and demanded the removal of dialogue from the movie. It even appealed to the Censor Board and Film Chamber to make sure objectionable scenes were chopped off before issuing the clearance certificate for the release. They are now planning to meet Commissioner of Police to lodge a complaint against the director, writer and also Surekha Vani for delivering those dialogue.

Finally, Director Gopichand Malineni confirmed there is no objectionable content in the movie, but the Brahmin dialogue was removed as few of them were raising their voice against it. The film's producer had already sent a letter to Regional Censor Officer in this regard. 'Balupu' censor is planned on June 24th and release on June 28th.
