RBI raises withdrawal limit at ATMs

Reserve Bank of India increased the withdrawal limit at ATMs to Rs 10,000 per Day. However, The weekly withdrawal limit remains unchanged at Rs 24,000.

Withdrawal limit from Current Account has been increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh per week.

Cash supply through ATMs is anywhere around Rs 8,000 crore per day across the country. This would only get better in the coming days. RBI is likely to increase the weekly withdrawal limit within few days.

Queues outside ATMs have decreased in the recent past. Hence, RBI raised the withdrawal limit to give an assurance that situation has neared normalcy.
