'Real' hunger strike by South Stars

Usually we see the film actors protesting against the injustice in 'reel' life. In 'Real' life also they protest against the injustice. Today, the whole film fraternity from South India has protested against the Central Government decision on imposing the Service Tax on film actors. The Union Government's decision draws the flak from the Indian Film Industry.

The Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood, Sandalwood film industry people from South India, staged dharnas and hunger strikes against the service tax imposition. Superstar Rajanikanth, who joined the day long protest on Monday, demanded the government to abolish the service tax on film actors.

The Telugu film industry, Tollywood also joins its voice against the imposition of service tax on actors. The several noted film personalities have staged a dharna in front of the AP Film Chamber on Monday against the service tax.

The Central Government has levied 12.36% service tax on film actors. Actors, producers, Directors, Technician and many departments associated with the film industry unanimously opposing the government step on service tax.

MAA President Muralimohan,APFCC  Tammareddy Bharadwaja,Venkatesh,Jagapathibabu, Young Hero Nani,ComidiansBramhanandam,Ali,Producer D.Ramanaidu,Veteran Actor Sathyanarayana were participated in the protest.
