In Talk: Nara Lokesh's Short-Cut!

Update: 2017-02-27 12:25 GMT
The path chosen by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu to induct his son Nara Lokesh into the cabinet has given scope for various theories. During the politburo meeting, It's been decided by TDP Leadership to elect Lokesh as MLC in MLAs Quota so that he could made a Cabinet Minister in the upcoming cabinet expansion. Although Few Party MLAs have voluntarily offered to sacrifice their seats for Lokesh, CBN preferred avoiding by-election for reasons best known to him.

Opposition Leaders began taking potshots at Nara Family citing the same reason. They expressed the view that Chandrababu is scared of by-poll and hence opted for a short-cut to induct Lokesh into his cabinet. In addition, MLA Quota is being preferred to be on a safe side.

If Lokesh wins as MLA by contesting by-poll, The term lasts only for 2-and-a-half years. Whereas, MLC Seat guarantees 6 years tenure. This is said to be another reason behind making Lokesh an MLC.
