Usually, the party in power or the party that might come to power faces rebel problem. There will be many claimants for party tickets. There would be protests, dharnas by those who fail to get tickets. But, what is surprising is that there is rampant dissidence in the BJP too. There is dissidence in at least three constituencies. In fact, a large number of activists of the party in Serilingapalli have opposed builder Yoganand's candidature. BJP workers, led by another aspirant Naresh, have staged a dharna in the state party office. They said they do not want Yoganand as a candidate.

Similarly, senior BJP leaders Ravi Pandey and Ashok Pathak have strongly opposed the candidature of Padakanti Rama Devi for Mudhole constituency in Adilabad. They threatened to leave the party if she is not replaced by a suitable candidate. Siiarly, there is a revolt brewing in Malakpet constituency, where Tiger Narendra's son Ale Jitendra has been given the party ticket. Several party workers have sent their resignations to the party city president N Ramachandra Rao. They said Ale Jitendra is an outsider and should not be given the ticket.

Meanwhile, in another development, BJP Sangareddy district president Kasala Buchi Reddy has submitted resignation from the party. He is likely to join the TRS. Already Peddapalli district president has joined the TRS.
