Recovery messages pour in for former J&K CM who tested Covid positive

In a shocking turn of events, former Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah has tested positive for COVID-19. Following this, his family announced that they would go into isolation.

Farooq's son Omar Abdullah, former Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir took to Twitter to announce the news. In the tweet, he said, till the family members test themselves for the pandemic, they would be self-isolating.

He had also urged everyone who had come in contact with his family over the past few days to take the mandatory precautions like undergoing Coronavirus tests.

“My father has tested positive for COVID-19 & is showing some symptoms. I will be self-isolating along with other family members until we get ourselves tested. I request anyone who has come in to contact with us over the last few days to take all the mandated precautions,” Omar Abdullah tweeted.

The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir had tested positive for the deadly virus weeks after taking the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. He is yet to take the second dose of the vaccine.

Since the news broke out, several leaders, including Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi wished for a speedy recovery of the former Chief Minister and his family members.
