Renowned Kuchipudi Dancer Succumbs To Ongoing Pandemic

The ongoing pandemic, which is spreading its deadly wings in Telanagana has claimed the life of a renowned Kuchipudi exponent. The 60-year-old Kuchipudi guru succumbed to the virus in Hyderabad.

Going into details, Prominent Kuchipudi guru Munukuntla Sambasiva who contacted the contagious disease recently, breathed his last breath battling the respiratory disease on Friday.

He dedicated his entire life to Kuchipudi dance form and many dancers were trained under him at his Nishumbita Natya Jnanapeet, located in Esamia Bazar of Koti.

The late Kuchipudi guru was a student of well known Padma Bhushan Awardee Vempati Chinna Satyam and he was also trained in theatre. His piece of works in classical dance and the books authored by him are highly regarded as a great treasure for the aspiring classical students.

Natyamanjari, Gateway to Kuchipudi, Hasthabhinayam, Kuchipudi Natyamitram are some of the books authored by the Kuchipudi dancer.
