TDP MLA Revanth Reddy has been arrested in Mahabubnagar on Thursday for protesting against violation of protocol.
Incidentally, TRS Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao will lay the foundation stone for new Market Yard in Mahabubnagar Today. Revanth Reddy and his followers reached the venue ahead of Minister's visit and staged a dharna alleging being a local MLA he wasn't given the invitation. Soon, Police intercepted Revath Reddy. Enraged by it, TDP Activists hurled stones at Police vehicles and tension prevailed at the Market Yard for sometime.
As situation went out of control, Cops arrested Revanth Reddy and TDP Activists. They were taken to Doulthabad police station. Condemning the arrest, TDP Activists staged protest before the police station.
Meanwhile, Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao took part in the formal pooja ceremony of Market Yard in the town.
