The Deputy Collector of Serilingampally D Srinivas Reddy was suspended for creating documents about land owned by TPCC working president and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy and his brother Kondal Reddy.
It has been widely reported that with the help of revenue officials Revanth Reddy and his brother have encroached around 6 acres and 24 guntas of land at Gopanpally village of Serilingampally Mandal. The owners of the land have moved the Telangana High Court.
The suspension orders stated that the Deputy Collector has involved in irregularities while taking up the mutation proceedings of the land by forging some documents as per the Record of Rights Act.
It is believed that Revanth Reddy and his brother produced false documents to make sure that the said land is registered in their names.
With a lot of news and speculations being erupted on this said land scam, Revanth Reddy spoke to the media and said: "Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his son MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao are out to defame me by making baseless allegations."
