MP Shares His Dissatisfaction Over Not Being Invited During Modi's Visit To Hyd
As part of his three-city visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Bharat Biotech's vaccine facility to review the vaccine development. His visit to the pearl city days ahead of GHMC elections gained a lot of political significance.
After the Prime Minister's Office reportedly directed the Telangana Chief Minister's Office CMO that CM KCR need not come to welcome PM during his visit to Hyd, one more controversy hit the headlines.
Congress leader and Malkajgiri MP Revanth Reddy took to the microblogging site Twitter and raised a complaint about not inviting him during PM Modi's visit as the Bharat Biotech facility is within his constituency limits.
In his complaint to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, the MP said he was not even formally about Modi's visit. He said its outrageous on PM's part to not invite him
"Hon'ble @PMOIndia is scheduled to visit Bharat Biotech Facility today. He will land at Hakimpet AFS. Both the facility & airport falls under Malkajgiri Constituency & it's uncourteous on the part of the PM to not invite the local Member of Parliament @loksabhaspeaker @JoshiPralhad," his tweet read.
In another tweet, he tagged the Indian National Congress, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and leading National and regional media outlets.
It is interesting to know how the Parliamentary Affairs Minister will respond to Revanth's complaint. Surprisingly, to Revanth's tweet, TRS supporters have also extended their support.
