E-Commerce giant Flipkart was allegedly cheated by a Car Stereo System Distributor. Based on a complaint registered against him by a Flipkart representative on November 9th, Police have arrested the accused for cheating the company to the tune of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Ramesh Kumar runs Nandi Electronics in Journalist Colony of Bengaluru. He was also a vendor of car stereo systems with Flipkart. He used multiple phone numbers, email ids and furnished various residential addresses to execute his plan.
At First, Ramesh Kumar would place an order for branded car stereo systems. After receiving them, He would put a low-cost product in place of the branded item and return it to Flipkart. By doing this, He would be pocketing the amount he quoted on the Flipkart website for an inferior product.
The 33-Year-Old was taken into custody from his residence and he will be paying the price for cheating.
