We have reached a point where we should once again be worried about the rise in the infections caused by the deadly Covid. A few western nations are seeing a big rise in fresh cases. Due to the festival season, the cases are going up. The fresh cases in the nations are expected to increase further.

The fresh cases are going up in nations like America, Japan, and China. The rise in China is not a surprise as the dragon nation has been seeing a rise of late. But the rise in Japan and America is what surprised many.

Christmas and New Year are around the clock. Almost all countries celebrate the two festivals. The celebrations will bring together. If any of them are asymptomatic then there will be a flood of fresh cases and the world is not ready to face such a disaster.

This made India become alert. The two festivals are also celebrated here in a big way. Given the massive population India has, we cannot take any risk. Amid this, the Health Ministry swung into action.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya called for a key meeting with high officials on the Covid situation. Covid cases increasing in other nations is also a big concern for India as Indians living abroad might come here for the festival season.

India's festival season will get extended with January as Sankranthi falls in the same month. So the coming one and a half month time is very crucial and the Indian government is busy taking the required measures.

Keeping the ongoing situation in other nations in mind, the Union government urged everyone to be cautious and not take the virus spread for granted. The government said that it is time to up the  Covid guard and wear masks in public places yet again.

It is said that the Union government sent a letter to the states and Union Territories in this regard and urged them to ramp up the efforts to conduct the Covid tests and send the samples for test. The government might issue a few directives that have to be followed given the Covid fear.
