Rohit Sharma archives rare feat against five-time world cup winning team

Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who joined the Indian team for the third Test match against the Aussies in the ongoing bilateral series Border-Gavaskar Trophy achieved a rare feat.

During the second day of the 3rd Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Friday became the first player to hit 100 sixes against the Aussies across the three formats.

Rohit Sharma is the first-ever player in the history of the game to achieve this record. He achieved the feat by hitting Nathan Lyon for a maximum in the 16th over of the Indian innings.

He has hit 100 sixes against Australia across the formats in international cricket, while he has hit 425 sixes across the teams and formats in international cricket.

Rohit Sharma's comeback to the Indian team has put an end to difficulties faced by the Indian openers. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a 50-plus opening stand to India in 14 innings.

Eoin Morgan(63), Brendon McCullum, (61), Indian greatest Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar(60), and former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni with 60 sixes are behind Hitman Rohit Sharma.
