VK Sasikala Natarajan's Husband M Natarajan has undergone kidney and liver transplantation at a private hospital in Chennai couple of days ago. Now, Doubts have been raised by Political Parties about the manner in which the procedure has been carried out.
BJP's Tamil Nadu President Tamilisai Soundararajan demanded AIADMK Government to inquire into the violations of organ transplanting. 'What's the source of funding for air-lifting the brain-dead patient, who is a daily-labourer, from Tiruchy to Chennai?,' she questioned.
Soundararajan alleged Family Members of the brain-dead person were cheated by assuring them that they are shifting the patient for advanced treatment. 'Why such advanced treatment wasn't provided for Jayalilathaa? Not even information was given whether or not Jayalalithaa was in need of such emergency treatment. Private Hospitals have been functioning purely on commercial basis. State Government should order for a probe,' she demands.
