The first edition of the awards ceremony 'Naimishya Samman' as part of 'Rashtriya Sanskriti Majotsava' will take place in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency Varanasi. Some prominent artists will comprise the Jury. About Rs 70 crore out of total Rs 22 crore allotted for 'Rashtriya Sanskriti Majotsava' will be spent towards Awards Ceremony.
Usually, Ministry of Culture will organize 'Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsava' in Delhi, Bengaluru and Kashmir. This time, the venue has been shifted to Varanasi. 'Naimishya Samman' will be presented yearly once and the first edition will happen in November.
