Russia's Nuclear Plant to be set up in AP

Indian Government is likely to offer a portion of land in Andhra Pradesh to Russia for setting up its 5th and 6th Units of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant. The deal, which is another major step on the lines of 'Make in India' initiative, might be finalized during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Moscow soon.

For the Annual Summit with Vladimir Putin, Narendra Modi will be touring Russia between December 23rd and 24th. India's Private Sector will have a say in Russia's Nuclear Power Plant and even supplies necessary components.

In April 2015, Narendra Modi and Vladimir Putin have signed an agreement to built 3rd and 4th Units of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant at Tirunelveli with a cost of Rs 33,000 crore. During this annual summit, Russia agreed to built 12 nuclear reactors in India by 2035.
