BCCI is keen on roping former Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid for the posts of National Cricket Academy and Talent Manager, National High Performance Manager and National Talent Manager respectively.
BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur has been negotiating with these veterans. While Ganguly has already responded positively to the proposal, Sachin has agreed in principle and Dravid wants to take a call after IPL 8.
The Board has asked Ganguly to prepare a Blue Print on how the Indian team can perform better cricket abroad.
Sachin's role will be that of helping BCCI upgrade the National Cricket Academy from rehab center to a world-class training and research facility. He will also be working with out-of-form cricketers and help them sort out technique issues.
Dravid, on the other hand, will work with the Under-19 team and identify talent for the National team.
