A Big Failure For Sachin Tendulkar

Update: 2018-03-02 08:43 GMT
Sachin Tendulkar is deemed as God of Cricket by many Indians. International players too respect his skills and treat him as an "All-Time Great" after Don Bradman, Vivian Richards and Gary Sobbers.

Along with him Steve Waugh, Ricky Pointing, Ian Chappell, Brian Lara, Mark Waugh, Rahul Dravid, Courtley Ambrose, Courtney Walsh, Muttaiah Muralidharan, Shane Warne, Brett Lee, McGrath, Stephen Fleming, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh are seen as modern and popular greats of the game.

But such a hugely successful batsman couldn't play a successful MP innings. Even though he is known for reaching quickly and using his MP Lads and funds effectively, his presence at the 'crease', that is, his presence at Rajya Sabha has been missing.

He attended only 29 days out 397 days that Rajya Sabha has been conducted from 2012 to till date. He has been in office for six years but just 29 days of presence is like Gavaskar's record of 37 notout after playing from ball one to last ball in a one day match of 60 overs.

It is an useless innings. He did not rise many questions too. He only asked 22 questions but got 86 lakhs as salary for being MP.  That is 7.2% of attendance for a full payment.

Even diva Rekha, did not show up to Rajya Sabha as expected and she just attended 18 days in total.

Well, sending and Rekha to the 'crease' to bar for six long years seems to be a bad move from past government. Let's hope that more aware 'elite' persons get President nominations, for Rajya Sabha, this time around!
