On an interesting note, Indian star Saina Nehwal defeated compatriot and Olympic award holder PV Sindhu to win the women's singles title in the badminton competition at the 21st Commonwealth Games. Sindhu won the silver medal at these Commonwealth Games.
Since the beginning, Saina has been in the lead place by defeating Sindhu in all the sets. While she won the first set with an ease, Sindhu has given tough competition from the second set but managed to won the title. Saina won the gold medals two times in a row and Sindhu won the silver medal. Saina's patience and fighting spirit finally paid off as an under pressure and she again proved her mettle by making all us proud. It's definitely a proud moment for India and especially, her coach Pullela Gopichand.
