Saina regains No.1 spot

Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal Thursday regained the number one position in international rankings. Latest rankings of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) released on Thursday and Saina Nehwal regained the top spot in women's singles.Carolina Marin of Spain  gets No.2 place while Chinese player Li Xuerui is in No.3. Saina now has 82,792 points and Carolina has a total of 80,612 points

Meanwhile Double World Championship bronze medallist P.V. Sindhu dropped a spot to be ranked No.14. Evading to men's singles rankings Kidambi Srikanth dropped to  No.4 and Parupalli Kashyap jumped two places to be ranked No.8.

Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa reach their career-best ranking of No.10 in women's doubles.  Saina Nehwal has become the World No 1 in badminton first time on March 28 th and she is the first Indian to achieve this rare honour.

Despite losing the World Championships final in Jakarta on Sunday Saina managed to regain her No 1 place.
