Update: 2015-07-26 12:43 GMT
In a major twist of events, the outrage created by Salman Khan's tweets regarding 1993 serial blasts convict Yakub Menon have finally forced him to retract his statement. With BJP workers staging a protest in front of his house, the Bollywood superstar deleted all the tweets he has posted about Yakub.

He stated that Yakub Menon is not innocent and expressed that there is complete faith in the judicial system of our country. He asked his detractors to not spread hatred in the name of anti-religion. "Many lives were lost in the Mumbai blasts. And I have repeatedly said the loss of one innocent life is equal to the loss of all humanity. I would like to unconditionally apologise for any misunderstanding I may have created unintentionally", said Salman.

Meanwhile BJP and Shiv Sena protested outside his home and even his father Salim Khan called his remarks as 'ignorant'.
