The Doctor who collected the blood samples of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the 2002 hit-and-run case has appealed the sessions court to provide police protection to him.
Dr.Shashikant Pawar has sought protection for him till the next hearing of the hit-and-run case. All that he asked for is a police constable to protect him from possible threats.
The Court asked Mr. Pawar to give a written application seeking police protection. He. however, conveyed about his inability to give a written application but prayed for security.
Advocate Abha Singh seeked an inquiry into the issue citing a witness asking for police protection was a serious matter. He said Salman Khan's bail should be rejected if found guilty of threatening the witnesses.
