Samsung Note 2 catches fire in Chennai Flight

Forget about Samsung Galaxy Note 7, Even the multi-national companies Samsung Note 2 catches fire and that too on a Singapore-Chennai Flight. This incident happened on Friday morning in an IndiGo Flight 6E-054.

Actually, The smartphone was neither in use nor was charging. After it was placed in the overhead bin, The Passengers and Crew noticed smoke and raised an alarm. Soon, Fire Extinguishers were used to out off the fire. The flight had safe landing at Chennai airport.

Following this incident, DGCA advised flyers to be careful with Samsung Note devices. It recommended passengers either to switch off such mobiles or refrain from carrying them while being on planes.

Samsung Spokesperson admitted the incident of its Mobile catching fire on a flight has come to its notice. The company informs measure will be taken to address the battery issues.
