After registering a historic victory in London, Sania Mirza emerged as the first female player from India to win a women's doubles Grand Slam trophy.
Indian sensation Sania Mirza and Swiss legend Martina Hingis clinched the Wimbledon title defeating 2nd seed Russian team of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in a thrilling match. Sania-Hingis lost the first set (5-7), but they fought back hard to win the second and third sets (7-6(4), 7-5).
In the last & deciding set, Sania-Hingis were trailing 2-5 and it was then they stunned everyone by finishing with 7-5. What a comeback and what a match!
