Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who is currently serving his 5 years prison sentence for illegal possession of arm during 1993 Mumbai serial blasts has been granted a 30 days parole on grounds of his daughter's ill-health.
Sanjay Dutt's Lawyer applied for parole in June this year citing surgery of the actor's daughter as the reason. Pune's Divisional Commissioner sanctioned 30 days parole a couple of days ago and Sanjay will walk out of prison within few days after completion of the formalities.
Notably, The 30-day parole of Sanjay Dutt could be extendable upto 90 days. Which means, He could stay out of prison for 3 months if everything works in his favour.
Frequent paroles granted began the debate of special treatment to Sanjay Dutt due to celebrity status. From May 2013, He has been out of prison for 146 days. Now, once again Prison Department favoured the actor on humanitarian grounds.
