Congress's Ally Shiv Sena Responds To Barack Obama's Memoir Row

Update: 2020-11-14 15:00 GMT
Despite the Congress party remaining silent on former United States President Barack Obama calling Rahul Gandhi "student eager to impress the teacher", its ally Shiv Sena reacted to it.

Shiv Sena Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut found fault with the former US President's remarks on Rahul Gandhi and called the remarks 'distasteful'.

The MP questioned how much does the former US President knows about the country and opined that it's not appreciable that a foreign politician gives such opinions on Indian leaders.

Referring to the remark as distasteful, Sanjay Raut said this is not advisable and added that we won't call serving United States President Donald Trump mad.

However, Barack Obama's memoir A Promised Land has not launched in the market yet. A leading American daily has reviewed the book and claimed that Obama called Rahul Gandhi a "student eager to impress the teacher but lacking aptitude and passion to master the subject."

On the other hand, the Congress party has decided to not respond to shocking remarks of Barack Obama on Rahul Gandhi and said they will not react to an individual's remarks in a book.
