Sasikala Knocks On The Doors Of Supreme Court on AIADMK's Poll Symbol!

Update: 2021-02-03 05:08 GMT
Expelled AIADMK leader and close aide of former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa, VK Sasikala was released from the Parappana Aghrahara prison in Bengaluru, last week.

After her discharge from the Victoria hospital in Bengaluru, she has increased the political heat by driving a vehicle that bore a flag that belongs to the AIADMK party.

She has sent a pretty strong statement to the AIADMK leaders and political experts that she is still a part of the party and she is still fighting to take forward the legacy of Jayalalithaa.

After her discharge from the Victoria hospital, posters erupted across Tamil Nadu claiming that Sasikala should join the AIADMK party and should lead the party in the polls.

As one more development in Tamil Nadu politics, media reports claimed that Sasikala has moved the Supreme Court against the Election Commission's (EC) decision to grant 'two leaves' election symbol to Edappadi Karuppa Palaniswami.

The Supreme Court is expected to hear her petition very soon. All the eyes are on the SC's next decision on Sasikala's petition over the election symbol.

Her release from the prison ahead of the much-awaited 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections is expected to make the political fight a three face one. Experts see her as powerful as AIADMK and DMK.
