Satya Nadella Influenced by Marxist Dad

Bukkapuram Nadella Satyanarayana alias Satya Nadella, Microsoft CEO says the biggest influence on him was from his parents. In a video interview purportedly given to a journalist Satya said that he was influenced by ideologies of his father Yugandhar,  an economist and a Marxist and his mother a Sanskrit drama professor.

Satya says his greatest personal possession is a cricket bat signed by Indian batting legend Sachin. However, he admits it was impossible for him to teach cricket in US. Satya Nadella's father BN Yugandar is a former IAS officer and former Planning Commission member. 

Yugandhar was a 1962 batch IAS officer and he also worked as a secretary to then Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao from 1983-85.

Yugandhar, a close associate of late NTR was instrumental in shaping the popular Rs 2-a-kg-rice scheme. Yugandhar also worked with late Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao in the early 1990s.
