Union Cabinet recently decided to extend Industrial incentives to Northeast States until 2020 under North East Industrial Development Scheme (NEIDS) 2017 with a budget of Rs 3,300 crore. The intention is to boost employment in the MSME Sector through these incentives.
Maximum incentive for each Manufacturing/Industrial Unit is up to Rs 200 crore
30 percent input subsidy on manufacturing unit and equipment.
100 percent Insurance Premium on Plant & Machinery for 5 years from the date of commencement of commercial production
Reimbursement of CGST and IGST for 5 years
Reimbursement of Centre's share of Income Tax for 5 years
20 percent cost of transportation for movement of finished goods by railways & waterways.
50 percent cost of transportation for movement of finished goods by airways.
Centre will reimburse 3.67 percent of PF Employer pays to the Employees.
None of these benefits were extended to the Andhra Pradesh which Centre claims to be treating as so called 'special case'. What does that mean Modi ji?
