AG Namana, a school girl, hardly expected a letter she had writer to Prime Minister Narendra Modi would change her village completely.
October 6th this year, The 16-Year-Old brought to the notice of PM about the dire state of her small village Alekhan Horatti in Mudigere talk of Chikkamagaluru district. Upon receiving ordered from PMO to address the issues raised by the girl, District Administration Officials told villagers that the issued raised will be addressed. Local MLA BB Ningaiah sought funds from Centre to provide basic facilities. Then, PMO asked the State Government to sanction sufficient funds.
Namana who is a student of Moorarji Desai Residential School mentioned in her letter that the village with 35 families comprising of 300 people don't even have a motorable road. There is neither uninterrupted power supply nor health care facilities in the village.
MLA Ningaiah says Rs 80 lakh was required to improve the basic facilities in the village. He also sought Rs 9.5 crore for laying the road leading to the village. Namana is happy with the change happening in her village.
