IMAX not only attracts Hyderabadis but it also attracts the majority of the visitors coming to Hyderabad. Several multiplexes came up in Hyderabad now but there was only one multiplex in Hyderabad 5-6 years ago i.e., Prasad's. Even now, there is no other IMAX big screen in Hyderabad. The reason for all the introduction is that a case has been registered against Prasad's IMAX.
A person named Vijay Gopal complained about IMAX theater that there is no safety for the audience in case of emergency. He said that there are 14 rows in the big screen and each row has 47 seats.. it will pose a great danger in case of emergency. He initially complained to Hyderabad Police Commissioner but no action was taken so, he approached the High Court.
Considering Gopal's letter the High Court accepted as a Public Interest Litigation(PIL). The High Court served notices to Prasad's management.. Telangana Chief Secretary.. Hyderabad Commissioner.. DG- Fire Department to look into the issue take appropriate measures. The High Court also ordered them to submit a report in three weeks with the details of action taken on the issue. Common people are wondering what are all these concerned departments are doing until a person finds the safety issues with the Big screen?
