As many as 11 people have died and 17 other got injured when the concrete roof of one of Secunderabad's noted Irani restaurant, Hotel City Light, collapsed on Monday morning.
According to the cops, around 35 people were inside the restaurant at the time of incident and the rescue operations were in full swing.
Generally, Hotel City Light is place where GHMC workers and construction laborers would throng to have every morning to enjoy Irani tea.
GHMC commissioner is overseeing the rescue operations at the accident spot. "About 15 buildings in Secunderabad were demolished in the last month as they are in a bad state. But, this particular building looked pretty good from outside. The actual cause of the collapse will be known after the investigation," he told.
Police commissioner Anurag Sharma informed to the media that he has sought the help of search experts from the Central Reserve Force (CRPF) as few more people are trapped.
