Telangana is facing the music of the violent Agnipath-triggered protests. Earlier today, the Secunderabad railway station was vandalized and train coaches were burnt. This forced the governments in other states to focus on security at the railway stations in their respective regions.
To see that Secunderabad-like violence won't get repeated, the Hyderabad Metro Rail swung into action and canceled the metro services for the day. Taking to social media, the Hyderabad Metro body made a big announcement and informed the passengers about the same. The tweet was made from Metro's official Twitter handle.
"Passengers are informed that due to some disturbance in the city, all operations in all three lines of Hyderabad Metro Rail stand suspended till further notice. Passengers are advised to take care and make alternate arrangements," the Twitter post reads.
However, there is no information on when the service might get started again. Based on the situation prevailing the Metr might take a call or they might resume the services from tomorrow. The passengers traveling in Metro were asked to look for alternatives after stopping at the stations, irking them.
Speaking to the media, a few passengers expressed their anger with the metro's decisions and asked how they can arrange alternatives mid-way as they have to travel long hours to reach their destinations.
