Is our very own G Kishan Reddy being groomed for bigger roles? Look at the way he is being picked by the BjP national leaders for important tasks. Ever since he became a minister at the Centre, the party is clearly looking at him as a promising face and is grooming him by giving him different tasks.
Soon after he was made a minister, he was asked to visit the North East every month. Since then, Kishan Reddy has been touring the North East with unfailing regularity. Soon, he was asked to coordinate with the Kashmiri Hindu migrants spread across the country. This job made his tour the whole country and hold meetings with the pundits. Later, he was asked to take care of the Tamil Nadu BJP affairs. Kishan Reddy extensively toured Tamil Nadu for the elections.
Now, the party has given another prominent role for Kishan Reddy. He is now deputy incharge for Goa, which will see elections next year. He will work with former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Gujarat's Darshana Jardoji. Party insiders say that these are all trials and exposure opportunities for Kishan Reddy and if he proves himself, he would be chosen for bigger roles.
It is well-known that no other party knows how to groom future leaders like the BJP. For the upcoming elections to the five state assemblies, the BJP top leadership has deputed young ministers as incharges. These young leaders will get a feel of conducting party campaigns in different states and will understand the local issues. For the BJP, which has already has deputed organising secretaries for different states, this is an opportunity to groom promising leaders.
Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan has been given the charge of the all-important Uttar Pradesh. He will be assisted by ministers Anurag Thakur, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Shobha Karandlaj, Annapurna Devi and Vivek Thakur. For the Brahmin-dominated Uttarakhand, Minister Prahlad Joshi has been made the incharge. Amit Shah's trusted man Bhupender Yadav will take care of the poll-bound Manipur.
