Which political party has adjusted to the Corona lockdown crisis best? Which party has changed its working style quickly to suit the needs of the lockdown? No marks for guessing. It's the BJP. The BJP has quickly adjusted itself to the changed situation.
BJP sources said that party president JP Nadda himself has spoken to over 4 lakh workers of the party through 70 video conferences and 20 audio conferences. Senior leaders like Amit Shah, BL Santosh and others are also holding meetings at their own level. The BJP used its network and social media connections to provide ration, groceries and food to over 4 crore stranded people during the lockdown. This in itself is a record, says a party source. On April 22, the RSS asked all its swayamsevaks and sympathisers to sing a patriotic song and render the customary prayer of the organisation at 5 pm. The response has been tremendous, the RSS sources say. Over 80 lakh workers across the country joined the virtual sakha of the RSS.
On Sunday, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is all set to address the RSS swayamsevaks and the RSS is giving the event massive publicity through social media. Hundreds of Facebook meetings, google hangouts, zoom meetings are being held across the country by the RSS, BJP related organisations. Except that the public gatherings are not possible, the RSS, BJP are now holding hundreds of virtual meetings everyday during the lockdown. Even the PM is calling old time BJP and RSS leaders as part of his outreach during the lockdown.
