The Corona impact on India has reached a level that the medical resources have dried up and several medical facilities are gasping for oxygen, resulting in several Covid-19 patients breathing their last with oxygen shortage.

Moved by the struggles of India in this regard, Indian-origin venture capitalist Vinod Khosla has announced USD 10 million to supply medical oxygen to the medical facilities in the country.

Mr. Khosla said, there is a need to save lives in the pandemic times stating that, if the lives are not saved it could result in more Covid-19 fatalities.

"For @GiveIndia this isn't enough. They've received requests for 20,000 oxygen concentrators, 15,000 cylinders, 500 ICU beds, 100 ventilators, 10,000-beds COVID centres with requests coming from non-profits & hospitals all across India every day. We need to do a lot more urgently,? Khosla’s tweet reads.

It has to be noted that the Khosla Family had already committed to lending a helping hand to India. As per the previous commitment, the Family will be adding USD 10 million to @GiveIndia.

In the past 24 hours, India added as many as 3,55,680 fresh cases and 3436 Covid-19 casualties. The total infections and casualties rose to 2,02,82,833 and 2,22,408 respectively.
