Sehwag announces Retirement on 37th Birthday

Virender Sehwag who is regarded as one of World's most destructive openers announced retirement from International cricket and also Indian Premier League (IPL) on October 20th, 2015. The dashing batsman is celebrating his 37th Birthday Today.

Confirming the news on his Twitter page, Sehwag wrote: "I hereby retire from all forms of international cricket and from the Indian Premier League".

In a glorious career spanning over 12 Years, Sehwag scored 8,586 runs in tests at an average of 49.34. He delivered 23 centuries and 32 half-centuries. His highest score (309 runs) is against Pakistan at Multan.

In ODIs, Sehwag scored 8,273 runs in 251 matches at an average of 35.05. He have 15 centuries and 38 fifties to his credit.

In Twenty20s, Sehwag managed 394 runs playing 19 matches and there were two half-centuries in them.
