When Selectors thought of dropping Kohli?

Update: 2016-11-28 12:22 GMT
Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag who is into commentary after announcement of retirement disclosed an untold fact.

During his Hindi commentary for the 3rd Test Match between India and England, Sehwag revealed that Virat Kohli wouldn't have got the opportunity to represent the country in Test cricket had if Selectors implemented their decision. After Kohli's poor performance in Australia where he averaged only 10.75 runs in the first two Tests, Selectors thought of dropping the RCB Skipper. The idea was to bring Rohit Sharma into the team in place of Kohli for the Perth test.

However, Captain Dhoni and Vice Captain Sehwag opined Kohli deserves one last chance to prove his mettle. What happened thereafter is known to one and all! He scored 44 in the 1st Innings and 75 in the 2nd Innings of the Perth Test. Kohli has emerged as the most consistent batsmen in all the three formats of the game. He scored two double centuries and many 150-plus scores in Tests in 2016 alone.
