In the wake of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, the AP government has held a high-level meeting on this burning issue chaired by CM Jagan Mohan Reddy with the main aim to review the situation
After the meeting, they have issued a note on the details of the measures taken by the government to counter the spread of the virus and to create awareness among people on how to be safe from the virus.
The bulletin released by the Health Department officials read that 109 samples were tested so far while 94 samples tested negative and the samples of 13 others were awaited.
As per the bulletin, 22 people were kept under the special wards in the hospitals and 607 were been under the home isolation. While 883 people were identified by the authorities for observation,254 people out of them have completed their observation period of 28 days.
The authorities will send self-quarantine notices to the passengers who returned from foreign countries and if they failed to follow this they will be put behind the bars under the Andhra Pradesh Academic disease COVID-19 2020, IPC Section 188.
