Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt's imprisonment has been extended to 4 more days for remaining outside the jail when the decision on his furlough extension was pending.
Maharashtra Home Minister Ram Shinde made it clear Sanjay Dutt has to spend four extra days in prison. He also ordered for a departmental inquiry over Prison Officials for taking action against them for the delay in taking decision on the extension of furlough.
Speaking to media, Ram Shinde said usually Jail Authorities take 45 days to take decisions on furloughs but it Sanjay Dutt's case the period has gone up to 113 days.
Sanjay Dutt was granted furlough till January 8th. Even though he surrendered before prison officials on that day, The actor was sent back as decision on extension of his furlough is still pending.
