Pakistan Cricketer Shahid Afridi is contemplating on taking legal action against former cricketer Javed Mianded for leveling Match-Fixing Allegations against him. The 59-Year-Old might receive the legal notices by Thursday, October 13th.
Javed Miandad challenged Shahid Afridi to swear upon his Daughter and say he didn't fix Pakistan Matches. 'Afridi is a son of a thief. He sold out Pakistan for money. Once, I caught him red handed while accepting money. If what I said isn't true, Let him swear on his Daughter,' he alleged.
At the book launch event of Sports Journalist Saleem Khaliq, Shahid Afridi commented Money has always been an issue for Javed Miandad and hence he got separated from Imran Khan who is the skipper of 1992 World Cup winning Pakistan Team. 'Miandad is a great cricketer. But, I never expected him to make such disgusting remarks. That's why he couldn't earn the name and fame on par with Imran Khan,' he responded.
Afridi who is on the verge of retirement from International Cricket appealed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give him an opportunity for a rousing send-off. He says, 'Farewell match is my right after representing Pakistan for almost two decades'.
Responding on India's Surgical Strikes, Afridi called for peace saying both the neighboring will get effected if fought war and issues could be resolved through dialogue. He described Pak as peace-loving Nation and it wants cordial relationship will all.
After ICC World T20 failure in India, Afridi lost his Captaincy and wasn't even included in the Twenty 20 series Pak played in the recent past. He played 98 T20s so far and emerged as the leading wicket taker (97) in the shorter format. He scored 1,405 runs at an average of 18.
