Pakistan's Twenty20 Skipper Shahid Afridi on Wednesday brought the press conference to a halt midway following a verbal spat with a reporter.
Actually, The reporter of a news channel asked Afridi about his plans for upcoming ICC World Twenty20 as his performance as a captain was poor. To the comment that his record as Pakistan's T20 skipper wasn't as impressive as that of previous captains, Afridi smiled and commented, 'I expected you to ask such a ghatia question'. He then left the media meet midway, leaving everyone by surprise.
Later, Journalists launched a protest outside Gaddafi stadium in Karachi and demanded an apology from Shahid Afridi. Team Manager Intikhab Alam tried to pacify the media persons saying such things happen and there is no need to dig into them.
Pakistan under Afridi's captaincy lost the recent T20 series to England when they played in Dubai recently.
