Sharmila left red-faced as father of dead unemployed youth

YSRTP leader YS Sharmila has made it a point to organize a fast in memory of one unemployed youth, who committed suicide after failing to land in a government job. She would fast for the day in the village where the youth ended his life and use the opportunity to attack the ruling TRS. These protests are usually organized on Tuesday.

But, this Tuesday, she was shocked as the the family of the youth, in whose name she is going to stage a protest, has not only refused to meet her but also requested her not to come to his home. The refusal to meet came hours before she is set to launch the protest.  Now, she may stage a fast not at the victim's house but at some other place and the family, in whose support she would stage the protest, will not join her.

This Tuesday, she was expected to fast at Lingapur in Dandepalli mandal of Mancherial district. In this village, a youth identified as Naresh, ended his life after he failed to get a government job. Naresh's father's refusal to meet Sharmila has put her in a spot. This was unexpected for YS Sharmila too.

However, enquiries revealed that Naresh is the youngest in his family. His three elder brothers are all government employees. They are working in different departments of the Telangana government. Naresh's father reportedly felt that the government might victimize the family for allowing Sharmila to visit his home. He felt that saving the jobs of the three sons is more important than allowing Sharmila into his house. With all her plans going awry, Sharmila and her party, are now left with no plan B.
