During the poll campaign in his home state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged Pakistan is interfering in the Gujarat Election. He accused Congress Leaders of meeting Pakistan Officials at Mani Shankar Aiyar's residence. NaMo even alleged retired Pak General appealed Congress Rajya Sabha Member Ahmed Patel be made CM of Gujarat.

BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha found fault with PM Modi for allegedly saying baseless stories to gain upper hand over Political Opponents. 'Hon'ble Sir! Just to win elections anyhow, and that too at the fag end of the process, is it a must to come up with & endorse new, unsubstantiated & unbelievable stories everyday against political opponents? Now linking them to Pak High Commissioner & Generals?! Incredible!,' he wrote.

The Veteran Actor suggested PM to talk about promises made by BJP regarding development, housing, employment for youth, health and vikas model instead of focusing on new twists n turns & stories n cover-ups.
