No Alliance with BJP in Next Elections

Update: 2018-01-23 10:50 GMT
Shiv Sena passed a resolution to fight the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Polls and Lok Sabha Polls in 2019 alone. Which means, The right-wing party led by Uddhav Thackeray won't continue alliance with BJP.

Sanjay Raut moved the resolution at the National Executive Meeting of Shiv Sena in Mumbai Today. He accused BJP, its ally, of trying to demoralize Shiv Sena in the part three years. Following which, The resolution was unanimously passed.

In the next elections, Shiv Sena aims to win 25 out of 48 Lok Sabha and 150 out of 288 Assembly Seats.

After the previous Assembly Polls, BJP and Shiv Sena had jointly formed the Government in Maharashtra. However, The friction has been continuing between the alliance partners since then. In BMC Polls last year, Shiv Sena emerged as single largest party by winning 84 out of 227 seats in the civic body. Whereas, BJP managed just 82 seats.
