MAA President advices Media to Cross-Check

MAA President Shivaji Raja expressed concern over the wild speculations in media regarding the drug racket case. 'It's true that few Film Personalities have received notices. But, Media has been reporting the names of few celebs who hadn't got any notices so far. It's very unfortunate! Nothing wrong in punishing those who committed something wrong. At the same time, It's unfair to defame those who are innocent. Media need to cross check before reporting such sensitive matters,' appealed the Senior Actor.

Whereas, Producer C Kalyan claimed to be shocked upon reading the news of Film Personalities getting addicted to drugs in news papers. 'Allegations keep coming, but we have to be patient to know what's truth and what's lies. I don't think SIT issued notices just because few celebs have attended wrong calls from drug peddlers. It's very unfortunate that film personalities were involved in the drug scandal. Just alike smoking and drinking, We will be issuing a statutory warning over side effects of drugs consumption during the course of every movie from now,' he said.
